I’ve been grinding away all week at the shop putting the finishing touches on Chuck’s Hawk. Al’s been working with our good friend Oscar in his bay over at Work’s Engineering getting into some subframe modifications on the the upcoming E3 Thruxton.

*During the January 11, 1975 episode of All in the Family, Edith Bunker gave a tearful good-bye to her neighbor Louise Jefferson, as she and her husband George, and their son Lionel, moved from a working class section of Queens into a luxury apartment in Manhattan. The Jeffersons premiered the following week, January 18, 1975, and 253 episodes were produced and aired during its 11-year run.
Waiting for paint to dry (literally):
Chuck’s NT650 is just s few days from completion. Working on the seat, tire hugger and headlight fitment now and getting into final electrical and tuning work this week. Should be a real looker once she’s all bolted up. The funnest build I’ve gotten into in a while.
*The little tyke in the foreground is my new 1972 Hodaka Wombat. Gonna get this guy ready for some off road action once the Hawk is completed.

I’ve started getting crafty with leather and canvas as a way of unwinding after long days at the garage. Just finished up a nice new line of custom handmade camera straps, Keychains, and E3/Simple Machine NYC Motorcycle Registration & Document Holders.
That rattty ship painting and my 5’8 and 6’0 Hand Shaped fish were a couple of items that survived Hurricane Sandy out at the Rock Bungalow. They’re currently hanging out in the motorbike garage awaiting warmer weather to get all patched up….
